Project Overview
ConnectingQueenstown is a tourism services marketplace based in New Zealand, designed to connect travelers with local providers offering unforgettable experiences. Whether it's kayaking in Milford Sound or dining above the skyline, the platform empowers both tourists and providers to explore, share, and grow.
Over a 3-month period, I led the complete visual and functional design of the platform from brand identity to full desktop and mobile UI. The project covered:
Visual identity and brand guidelines
Complete design system built from scratch
UX/UI design for homepage and key flows
Mobile-first responsive approach
Provider onboarding experience
Tourism product and booking interface

UI/UX Approach
Once the brand identity was in place, I moved into the user interface design using Figma. Since the platform caters to parents booking experiences for their children, or travelers seeking ease and trust, the interface was designed to feel both warm and reliable.
Homepage & Subpages
The homepage serves as a gateway to discovery — whether you're searching for adventure, culture, or fine food. Experiences are presented with clarity, and the booking process is smooth and intuitive.

The subpages allow users to dive into each service or experience with all the essential information clearly laid out.

Provider Flow
ConnectingQueenstown isn’t just for travelers: it’s also a platform for local providers. I designed a streamlined flow that helps businesses register their services, manage listings, and track earnings. The onboarding is clear, trustworthy, and encourages participation.

Mobile Version
The entire experience was designed mobile-first to accommodate how most users search and book travel today. All components were adapted for smaller screens while maintaining a consistent experience across devices.

Final Thoughts
Designing ConnectingQueenstown was an opportunity to create not just a brand, but a complete user experience that brings people together, travelers looking for their next adventure, and local providers eager to share the magic of Queenstown.
From brand storytelling to interface behavior, every detail was crafted to feel intuitive, approachable, and uniquely local. It was a 3-month journey of deep exploration, system building, and visual refinement, and one of those projects where design truly becomes a bridge between cultures, landscapes, and people.
I’m proud to have helped shape a platform that connects so many stories in one place.
